baby bear

the wear and tear on baby bear

reminds me of my own bones

moving me through every motion

i admire his devotion

his devotion to me, my tears he caught

since i was two i’ve kept him close to help me sleep

a constant reminder of a younger me

when i wasn’t too scared to climb trees

i’m not who i was back when he came home with me

but neither is he

we’ve been worn and torn since then

but baby bear will always make me feel like a kid again.
